Lower Key Stage 2

Information for parents

Class 4SH is a straight year three class who are taught by Miss Holmes, and 5HR is mixed year three and four class taught by Mrs Rafferty and Miss Hessey. We also have two brilliant achievement support assistants: Mrs Atkinson and Mr Clayton who assist with the children’s learning every day.

Our children access a full range of lessons and complete work based upon their skills and knowledge. We thrive to ensure that all children have the opportunity to succeed with their learning whilst also gaining skills that will help them as they grow and develop through Key Stage Two and beyond.

We are also focussed on ensuring that the children build brilliant friendships and have fantastic wider experiences through this year as it is an important transition from Key Stage One to Key Stage Two.

Reading is very important all the way through school and in Year 3, the children are expected to take responsibility for their own home reading books. Please encourage your children to read each day and to remember to bring their home reading book into school.
