SEMH and Restorative Approaches

Children’s mental health and wellbeing is paramount to ensuring that they are in a place conducive to learning. As a restorative community we offer high challenge alongside high support to our community and develop everyone’s voice through circles, check ins and time to reflect. Relationships are key within our approach.

We have two dedicated Emotional Wellbeing workers who offer targeted support to children with SEMH needs.

We see Wansbeck as a family and aim to build positive and lasting relationships with our children and their families, offering support and guidance throughout their journey here.

For children within the provisions or within our mainstream school who need bespoke support we have a bespoke SEMH and Communication curriculum that targets specific areas to develop.
