Wansbeck Teams
At Wansbeck Primary, our family are split into 6 different teams. Each team is based on an inspirational figure and combines children of all ages, from each year. We collectively meet in our teams, each half-term so that we can experience working together in a variety of ways.
Our ‘TEAM days’ may be themed; perhaps a sport day or seasonal link and allow children the opportunity to demonstrate their core values and character traits in a range of exciting ways. It is a day where children can learn from one another, perhaps work in a different area of the school and work with teachers who they may not normally see day-to-day.
Children need to combine their core values; respect, responsibility and resilience with their character traits; good communicators, pride, aspiration, teamwork, leadership in order to work effectively to produce an intended outcome by the end of the day.
Our TEAMS days are brilliant opportunities for our older pupils to support our younger children throughout the day, something which a lot of our children enjoy doing. We also like to make the most of the opportunity to meet as our whole Wansbeck family in the assembly hall at the end of the day. This allows us all to perform or showcase what we have achieved throughout the TEAMS event which is a lovely way to celebrate our achievements altogether.
